About RAPS The Retirement Association of Portland State (RAPS) is the oldest university retirement association in the state of Oregon. The 300-member association includes all retired employees of the PSU, working faculty and staff 55 years of age or older and retired personnel from other accredited colleges or universities. Spouses and/or widows or widowers of these employees are also eligible for membership. RAPS holds monthly meetings that are usually both social and educational. Other events are held throughout the year for members, including some that focus to support the aims of the University. RAPS members have testified on behalf of PSU before the legislature, worked on the streetcar welcome, been involved in the Simon Benson House relocation and refurbishing and are currently working on a project to preserve the history of PSU. If you are interested in joining our organization, please see the Membership page for more information. (You may also visit our office in Rm 212 of K-House (the former Campus Ministry Bldg.) for more information.
